Maeven Chef was created by Marijke Terry. After years working in restaurants and for private clients, she wanted to share her talents and love of hospitality with her community in Port Credit, her hometown. Some of Marijke’s most formative roles have been at La Banane, Farm’r, and The Chase in Toronto and Yotam Ottolenghi’s flagship deli in London, U.K.

There’s a kind of magic that can happen across a dinner table over a fantastic meal. Maeven Chef ‘s mission is to bring that to your home through our weekly meal prep and dinner party experiences.

 

Meet the Team

  • Marijke Terry

    FOUNDER

    Marijke loves cooking veg-forward, flavourful meals with lots of colours and textures. Some of her favourite ingredients are freshly ground spices, lemon, and all the herbs. She trains and manages the team of chefs and manages the growing business.

  • Jack Terry

    Athletics Head Chef

    Chef Jack has launched our Athletics division to cater to pro athletes, people training for athletic competition, and clients with active lifestyles. With his certification from Harvard in Health and Wellness Nutrition, he designs weekly meal plans personalized to support performance and recovery (while being tailored to your preferences and taste)

  • Christina Muzzi

    Personal Chef

    Christina comes from a long line of Italian female chefs and loves to help her mother and grandmother in the kitchen. She loves reading cookbooks for inspiration; some recent favourites are Evergreen Kitchen and Mandy’s Salads. She’s been with us from the start and has really bonded with her group of clients!

  • Joanna Pawlaczek

    Personal Chef

    Joanna is an ex-pastry chef who loves cooking all things healthy, hearty and comforting. Her cooking is heavily inspired by her eastern european heritage, as well as her favorite chefs Alison Roman and Yotam Ottolenghi.

  • Ali Sharifi-Nasr

    Personal Chef

    Ali is from a food-loving Persian family and loves to cook dishes inspired by his background. Prior to joining Maeven Chef he was a pizzaiolo at Pizzaria Badiali and Pizzeria Libretto in Toronto.

  • Nancy MacKenzie

    Personal Chef

    Nancy has extensive experience, lots of enthusiasm and creativity. She’s worked in the food industry for decades, and worked as a private chef in Toronto, Muskoka, and Nantucket.

  • Zoey Luker

    Personal Chef

    Zoey’s sunny disposition and excitement about cooking bring a smile to everyone they meet! With an Italian background and extensive restaurant and bakery experience, Zoey knows everyone’s favourites and how to cook for different preferences and diets

  • Tailah Pearson

    Admin and Operations Assistant

    Tailah is our people person! She helps with daily operations from chatting with new clients, booking time slots, and matchmaking to connect clients to their personal chefs. Tailah’s communication and organization skills are integral to our success.
